Caigeann and Lennox's wedding was a beautiful celebration set against the stunning backdrop of The Deanery Project, a 25-acre oceanfront gem in Lower Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia. Previously a summer camp attended by Caigeann, The Deanery Project is an ecologically minded arts, community, and natural building co-operative. With their mother, Kim Thompson, serving as Executive Director, the Deanery holds a special place in their family.
The day began with a warm family lunch, where loved ones came together to help set the stage for a magical celebration. Guests then enjoyed a delightful cocktail hour, complete with flower picking, refreshing drinks, and tasty snacks.
The ceremony, held in the champagne yurt, was a heartfelt affair filled with vows, laughter, and tears of joy. Following the ceremony, guests indulged in a casual taco dinner in the dining hall, setting the tone for a relaxed and intimate evening. As the sun set, a cozy campfire welcomed everyone to share stories, roast marshmallows, and extend their well-wishes to the happy couple. The festivities continued with dancing in the yurt, where love and joy filled the air late into the night.
For those who explored the grounds and breathed in the ocean air, The Deanery Project provided a serene escape, making the day even more memorable. With extra accommodations available for guests, including bunk rooms and tent spaces, it was truly a celebration to cherish.
